Applique Digitizing is fun. However, the process of applique digitizing is not as easy as it has its own peculiarities. The embroidery designs and artwork that you see on different clothing articles comes from a long process of digitizing.
Regardless of what category of design or pattern you want to create, the basic and fundamentals of the embroidery process remain the same. However, we will share with you the step by step process of applique digitizing to make your life easier.
Basically, there are three main steps that are the pillars of applique digitizing.
The first step is the placement stitch that is also known as the running stitch. Once you place the material on the embroidery machine, this is the first stitch that you need to make. Then you need to stop your machine after it has made the whole stitch.
The second step involves the zig-zag stitch or the tacking stitch. The stitch makes the boundary stronger so that it can withstand the embroidery pattern or design. It holds the fabric at its place. After that, you need to stop your machine again. Now, you can trim around the excessive stuff.
The last step includes the finishing stitch also known as the satin stitch. This stitch smoothens the design and makes it look appealing to the eyes.
One thing that you need to keep in mind is the stitch length. In order to avoid any problem, make sure that the stitch length is larger than 0.10 inches. In general, the stitch length is between 0.10 to 0.25 inches.
Anything that looks good and appealing undergoes a fine and delicate process that is handled by the experts. The small attention to details given to the product makes it speak volumes and stand out from others. The beauty lies in the technicalities.
Having said that, the most technical part of applique digitizing is how well the stitches are made. Even stitches are what adorn the overall applique design and pattern and make it unique in its own way.
The most important factor in the whole applique embroidery artwork is the placement line or the running stitch. It is in fact, the first stitch of the process. This stitch makes the outlines of the position where the applique is placed. A stop is made after the running stitch so that there is no chance of a mistake. Now, the zig-zag stitch is made giving the design a tackling position. At last, the satin stitch is made that gives uniqueness do the design and attract the viewers like a magnet.
However, you need to be careful with the length of the stitches or all the efforts can go in vain. The smaller designs need precision and more care. They are digitized separately to minimize the hassle.
But, applique artwork is not restricted to smaller patterns. Large applique designs are also in demand. The experts need to give the same attention to each and every stitch. Be it a large design or a small one. Remember, the smaller the design, the more delicate it is for the experts.
We all love numbers and letters. We wish to have those lettering jackets and t-shirts in our closet. This is where tackle twill comes in. It comes in the applique design category.
In the simplest of terms, tackle twill is an embroidery process that involves sewing custom-twill patches. You can simply remember it with letters and numbers as it is associated with numbers and letters. What makes tackle twill unique is its durability and cost-effectiveness. The finest quality of polyester is used in the tackle-twill fabric and patches so that is can withstand in the rough and tough conditions. As said earlier, the tackle-twill designs are usually interlinked with the letters and numbers. But, it is not limited to that, you can create your own custom tackle-twill.
The Tackle-Twill design is the love of students and undergrads. They love to wear lettered t-shirts, hoodies, and polos, sweatshirts, jackets, and sportswear. Tackle-twill brings life to clothing and apparel. Yet, the tackle-twill can be made with any type of character, shape and typography to make your most-liked customized design.
The tackle-twill designs are usually used by the sports teams, schools, colleges, companies and organizations as a signature mark.
